2024 Taos surges when accelerating

Hi everyone, I just bought a used Taos for my daughter to take back to college. I've been driving electrics for years now and when I drove her Taos, it was really jerky when accelerating from a stop. It was like it couldn't slowly coast without engaging in the engine and Jerking. Not smooth should I take it into the shop?

Common complaint with the Taos. It's not always a mechanical issue, but if it feels worse than expected, its worth having the dealer check for software updates or transmission calibration. Could also be improved slightly with smoother throttle input, but a quick checkup wouldn't hurt for your peace of mind.

Do you have OBD scanner to check for any codes? It could be the throttle body, transmission or with the idle control system. It's best to scan it and see if it gives you a code.
