'Out of temperature range' dash error

On some longer drives, my screen sometimes shuts off out of nowhere with an 'out of temperature range' error, and it wont reboot until a few moments. It seems to only happen when the volume is turned up past halfway. VW says to replace it, but I have to wait until my head gasket gets fixed first. Just curious, am i the only one running into this issue?

You're not the only one, those units are known to overheat really, replacement usually fixes it, but it's annoying until then.

Yeah, I figured it might be an overheating issue. Do you know if there's any other temporary fix or way to prevent it from triggering until i can get a replacement?
