my wife been dealing with some issues with her 2022 taos for a week about having low coolant til finally we visited the dealer after we noticed there was a leak down under and they decided to replace the head gasket. was this really the right move? I know we shouldav asked sooner but yeah, some insights would be appreciated.

that sounds rough. replacing the head gasket could be right if the leak was bad enough. coolant leaks can mess up the engine if ignored. dealers usually know what theyre doing but it depends on how big the problem was. hope it works out now.

Had to replace the head gasket last month, and it helped! I think you should go with it

must've been such a headache dealing with that coolant leak for a week, but then replacing the head gasket is the most reasonable move right now if there's a leak around there, I get it feels much right now but I guess better to fix it now than let it get worse.

just monitor the coolant levels after the fix and ensure that there are no issues. if any problem arises, bring it back to the dealer
